Hello! I'm Gaëlle Lalonde, an illustrator and surface designer from Canada who usually calls Leipzig, Germany home. Art has always been my passion, and there's nothing I love more than creating fictional worlds and telling stories.

I earned a Fine Arts degree from Concordia University in Montreal in 2010, and then went on to complete my Masters in Illustration from the Hochschule für Grafik und Buchkunst in Leipzig in 2013. In 2018, I started my own children's clothing label, Merle Kids, where I design everything from the prints to the clothes and all the other visual elements.

I enjoy working with both pencils and digital tools, especially Photoshop and vectors, to create impactful designs. Seeing my illustrations and designs come to life on printed products is one of the most satisfying things for me!

Outside of my art, you can find me spending time with my family, training for aerial silks, or exploring the outdoors on my bike.
